Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating a Devanchor account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Devanchor.
2. The Service
Devanchor connects clients with verified freelance developers and designers for websites, mobile apps, SaaS, and UI/UX work. Devanchor is the venue โ not a party to the contracts formed between clients and developers.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Each account has a fixed role (client or developer) chosen at signup. To switch sides, create a new account.
4. Payments & escrow
Clients fund contracts via Stripe before work begins. Funds are held in escrow and released to the developer when the client approves the delivery. If the client takes no action within 7 days of delivery, funds auto-release to the developer. Devanchor charges a platform fee (currently 20%) deducted from the developer's payout.
5. Off-platform activity
All communication, payment, and contracting between clients and developers introduced on Devanchor must take place on Devanchor for the duration of the engagement and 12 months after. Sharing personal contact information in messages may be filtered or cause your account to be suspended.
6. Verification
Developers must complete a verification review before being listed publicly. Devanchor may revoke verification at any time for cause.
7. Disputes
Disputes between client and developer should first be resolved directly. Devanchor may mediate at its discretion. Stripe handles chargebacks and payment disputes per its own policies.
8. Acceptable use
No unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing activity. No scraping, reverse engineering, or automated mass-messaging. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Intellectual property
Work product produced under a Devanchor contract belongs to the client upon successful payment release, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing within the engagement.
10. Disclaimers & liability
Devanchor is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Devanchor's aggregate liability is limited to the platform fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
