1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, role (client/developer), profile, avatar.
- Verification data (developers): GitHub/LinkedIn URLs, portfolio, certifications, work history.
- Project data: job posts, applications, messages, contract details, deliverables.
- Payment data: processed by Stripe — Devanchor never stores card numbers.
- Usage data: standard request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
2. How we use it
- To run the marketplace — match clients and developers, process escrow payments, deliver email notifications.
- To verify developers and prevent fraud, abuse, and off-platform circumvention.
- To improve the product (aggregated/anonymous usage patterns).
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We share data only with: Stripe (payments), our email infrastructure (transactional email), our hosting provider (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), Google AI (the project cost estimator — only the description you submit, never your account data), and law enforcement when legally required. We do not sell your data.
4. Public profile
Verified developers' display name, bio, skills, country, hourly rate, portfolio link, and reviews are publicly visible to support marketplace discovery. Job posts may be public depending on their status.
5. Messages
Messages between clients and developers are stored to enforce platform policy and resolve disputes. Contact information shared in messages is automatically redacted in the displayed view.
6. Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for tax and legal records. You can request deletion of your profile by emailing support@devanchor.io; financial records required by law are retained.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children
Devanchor is not intended for users under 18.
10. Changes
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice.
